It’s been another trip around the sun—our 45th, in fact! What started as an SDK has evolved into four full product lines, bringing unmatched data solutions to industries worldwide.
We've kept ourselves quite busy in 2024, from trade shows to new releases to a complete brand evolution! Here are just a few of the highlights:
FairCom DB v13: Databases Made Simple
The release of DB v13 marked a key evolution for our database technology. Bringing JSON DB API to FairCom DB (and all our product lines thereafter) has finally made managing databases as easy as pie.
This not only lets you use basic JSON commands to manage your database but also provides a new level of interoperability: You can use JSON to query and return results as SQL or vice versa. FairCom empowers you to interact with your data however you’d like.
FairCom Evolved: A New Look, A New Website
DB’s evolution was so great that we brought the entire brand along for the ride. Our brand evolution introduced an updated logo, refined product colors, and a new website built from the ground up. FairCom Evolved reflects our modern vision while paying homage to our 45-year legacy.
Our updated brand also showcases our commitment to making data accessible—for everyone. This includes following the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) to ensure we serve all our customers with best practices.
FairCom Edge v4: Truly Integrated IoT
We’ve spent a lot of time working on our IoT platform this year, as evidenced by the launch of Edge v4. This update improves the usability of our platform, providing a low-code solution to collecting, storing, transforming, and delivering data from the factory floor and beyond.
FairCom Edge has also been highlighted at a number of conferences this year, with Chief Architect Mike Bowers presenting on Edge’s interconnectivity.
Motorola x FairCom: Brazil Dev Day
Another highlight of this year has been our continued partnership with Motorola. It’s always inspiring to work with industry giants, and Motorola is no exception. We brought our senior engineers to their Brazilian devs for a week of deep-diving into FairCom’s technology. The event underscored our commitment to top-notch support worldwide.
FairCom RTG v5: COBOL Goes JSON
Look, up in the sky! It's a bird; it's a plane! It's . . . another release!
That's right! We finished 2024 strong with one final version update. Our COBOL file-handling software now brings the simplicity of modern JSON to your COBOL data. Directly query COBOL data with JSON or SQL, giving you true interoperability between your legacy systems and modern enterprise initiatives.
